Bid Over Asking Price: Step-by-Step Guide

Bid Over Asking Price will give your clients a clear understanding of how many months it will take them to recoup any costs they used to bid over the asking price, and how the home will continue to appreciate over time. 


Creating a Bid Over Asking Price Report

To create a Bid Over Asking Price report, follow the steps below:

  1. Add your client name(s). If adding more than one, be sure to separate names with commas i.e. John Smith, Jane Smith. 
  2. Type in an address, city, county, or Zip code and select a location from the drop down.  
  3. Enter the current asking price for the desired home.
  4. Enter how much your client is planning on bidding above the asking price.
  5. Enter current estimated value. 
  6. Click Calculate

Editing your Report

If you need to make changes to your report

  1. Click Edit

  1. From here, you can edit the client’s name under Client by clicking Edit. Click Save. 
  2. You can edit the asking price, bid, and estimated value under Property Info by clicking Edit. Click Save.
  3. Add or change a co-branding partner by clicking Add or Edit, respectively. 
    1. Choose who you would like to co-brand with by clicking the down arrow and making your selection. Please note: Selecting + Add new co-branding partner will abort the current report in progress.  You will need to recreate the report after you have finished adding your new co-branding partner.
    2. Choose how you would like the co-branding to be displayed on the report.
    3. Click Save.

Once you have saved your changes, click Review Report in the top right hand corner of the page to return to the report. 


Sharing your Report 

There are several ways to share your report with clients. You can share it as a digital copy, download it as a PDF, share it with a video or start a meeting and share the report live with a client.

 

Send the report 

If you would like to send a digital report to a client, the easiest way is to use the Send option. With this option, you can also attach a pre-recorded video from your video library. To use this option:

  1. Click Send.
  2. Enter the client(s) name. If multiple, separate with commas.
  3. Add up to four email addresses, separated by commas. 
  4. Create a custom message.
  5. To add a video, you can do so by clicking Add video from library.
  6. Depending on your company’s permissions, you may have a checkbox with an option to send a one-time passcode to the client for added security. 
  7. Click Send.

Please note: If your company allows, we provide the ability to copy a link to the report. However, if you choose to secure the report with a one-time passcode, this option will be grayed out. 

 

Download as a PDF

If you wish to download the PDF, simply click Download and it will save the report to your computer as a PDF. 

 

Sharing as a Video

  1. Click Record a video in the bottom right corner of the page.
  2. You will be prompted to turn on your webcam and show your screen – both are optional. 
  3. Choose which screen or window you would like to share. 
  4. When you’re ready to record, click Start Recording.
  5. Once you are finished, click the red square button at the bottom of the window to end the recording.

A window will then appear. From here:

  1. Enter the client(s) name. If multiple, separate with commas.
  2. Add up to four email addresses, separated by commas. 
  3. Create a custom message.
  4. If you wish to change the video, you will need to remove the current video by clicking X and then clicking Add video from library.

  1. Depending on your company’s permissions, you may have a checkbox with an option to send a one-time passcode for added security. 
  2. Click Send.

 

Please note: If your company allows, we provide the ability to copy a link to the report. However, if you choose to secure the report with a one-time passcode, this option will be grayed out. 

 

Starting a Meeting

If you would like to share the report with a live meeting:

  1. Click Start a meeting
  2. Type in your client’s name.
  3. Type in your client’s email.
  4. An email will be sent to your client with a link to join the meeting. 

 

  1. Your client will then receive a one-time passcode via email to access the meeting.
  2. You can change your camera, audio or screen being shared by using the buttons located at the top of the pop-up window. 
  3. To view your camera feed, click View Camera Feed.

  1. Once your meeting is complete, click End.
