Social Studio: Step-by-Step Guide

Our Social Studio turns your computer into a scrolling teleprompter and provides you with scripts that you can use  to make social media videos like a pro. To get started, simply choose if you would like to use a pre-made script or create your own custom script.

To use a pre-made script:

1. Filter the list of scripts by MBS, Area Specific, My Scripts or Your Company.
   1. MBS: Scripts created by MBS Highway.
   2. Area Specific: MBS Highway's specialized scripts, enabling location-based customization of script content.
   3. My Scripts: Access your previously saved, tailored scripts.
   4. Your Company: Any custom scripts provided by your company for use with MBS Highway can be found here.
2. A list of pre-made scripts will be available to you. Select the script you would like to use and click Next.
3. Preview the script and make any changes that you’d like. 
4. Choose what device you would like to use: 
   1. To use your computer, click Proceed to Desktop Mode. 
   2. To use your phone as your recording device, click Proceed to Mobile Mode.

To create your own script 

1. Click Create Custom Script. 
2. Choose a title and write your custom script. 
3. Choose the device you would like to use:
   1. To use your computer, click Proceed to Desktop Mode.
   2. Select if using your computer’s microphone or Proceed to Mobile Mode if using your smartphone.
4. If you would like to save the script for later, click Save as New Custom Script. 

Desktop Mode

Choose this option if you would prefer to use your computer as your method of recording.

1. Click Proceed to Desktop Mode. 
2. Click Access Camera.
   1. You will be prompted to allow your camera and microphone to be accessed.
3. To practice, you can use Scroll Preview to begin to scroll the text.
4. To increase the speed of the text click the + button, to reduce the speed click the - button.

5. Choose if you would like the script at the top of the page or bottom by clicking the Flip button.

6. When ready, click Record to begin your recording session. A countdown will begin and the script will reset to the beginning and the recording will start. 
7. Once finished, click Stop Recording. 
8. Click Download (bottom left corner of the video) to download the video. From here you can share on social media. 

• Please note: Leaving the page or beginning another recording will overwrite any previous recordings. Therefore, make sure to download the videos you wish to keep.

9. Click Return to go back to the script menu. 
10. Click Confirm at the top of the page if you have downloaded your desired recordings or click Cancel to go back. 

Mobile Mode

Choose this option if you would prefer to use your smartphone or mobile device as your method of recording.

1. Click Proceed in Mobile Mode.
2. You will be prompted to select where you’d like your script to be on your computer screen: Top, Left, Right or Bottom.

3. Adjust your settings to your preferences:
   • To adjust the font size you can increase the font size using the A larger button or decrease the font size using the a smaller button.
   • You can change the scroll speed using the + or - buttons to increase or decrease the text speed, respectively.
4. Once you begin recording on your mobile device, click Start Scroll. 
5. You can increase or decrease the font size and the scroll speed with the controls.

Once finished, you can end the recording on your mobile device to share on social media and beyond!
